Terms of Use and Instructions

Compression and Cold Compression User Instructions

1. Ensure your set is complete with a squid unit, connecting hose, wrap and cold pack. Make sure the wrap and cold pack you have selected are right for the body part you would like to work on.

2. Place the cold pack in the freezer for at least one hour before use.

3. To use compression or cold compression, open the wrap fully and (if required) place the cold pack inside the open wrap and line up the small velcro corners.

4. Connect the wrap around the area you would like to work on, doing up the velcro to the tightness you would like. If using cold compression then make sure you have a thin layer of clothing in between the skin and the cold pack to avoid ice burn.

5. Connect the hose to the wrap by pushing it firmly into the wrap valve. Connect the other end of the hose into the squid unit.

6. Turn the unit on by pressing the power symbol. Adjust the level of compression you would like by pressing the white button on the left of the device, 1 being the lowest level and 4 being the highest. To reset the unit at any point please press the power button, wait for 5 seconds and then press it again to restart.

7. To start a session hold down the pause/play button for one second, do the same to pause the session at any time. Each session will last 15 minutes but you may stop or pause a session earlier.

8. Once the session is over, the unit will give a short beep. Remove the wrap by undoing the velcro and separating the cold pack and the wrap, then disconnect the hose from the wrap and the unit by squeezing the lever in on each end of the hose. Replace the cold pack in the freezer after each session for at least one hour to ensure maximum effectiveness. DO NOT use cold compression on the same body part more than once per hour to avoid the risk of frostbite. Other than that you may use the unit as much as you’d like as part of the rental.

9. When not using the device and parts, store them in a cool, dry place where they will not be damaged or stolen.

Any damage to the unit, wrap, hose or ice pack will have to be covered by you.
